Support Our Work

The Division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion serves as a catalyst, convener, and coordinator for advancing inclusive excellence at the University of Virginia, as we seek to contribute to the public good and a more just democratic future.

A true commitment to diversity and inclusion requires time, intention, and vigilance. However, valuing and prioritizing diversity and inclusion is not enough to ensure a sustainable and just future. We must be open to diversity changing how we function, challenging our institutional structures and culture, if we are to fully realize and leverage its benefits in our learning and working environments. Strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion work is currently ongoing in every area of UVA. While we are engaging a broad range of strategies and activities to support our goals, there are several that are key to our organizational change efforts that you can learn more about below. Your support would amplify their impacts.
