Bio

Kristin Morgan serves as Senior Director for Grants Administration and Strategic Partnerships as well as the Co-principal Investigator (co-PI) and Program Director for the Virginia – North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (the Alliance). In addition, Kristin served as the co-PI for its Bridge to the Doctorate and a member of its advisory board. She directs the VA – NC Alliance Summer Research Program and is a member of the Alliance’s social science research study team examining the impacts of STEM intervention programs on identity, self-efficacy, and sense of belonging. Kristin manages proposals, data collection, and reports to the National Science Foundation. In addition, Kristin serves as the PI for the S-STEM collaborative planning grant: Pathways to Access, Collaboration, and Equity for Central Appalachian Students. She contributes to the broader work of the office with strategic planning for diversity and inclusion and co-chairs the Disability Advocacy Committee. Kristin graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Religious Studies and an M.A. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University.
